ABOUT THE ROLE

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Construction Contract Administrator / Estimator to join our dedicated team. This role involves overseeing the contractual and financial aspects of construction projects, ensuring efficient management from pre-construction through to completion. The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining budgetary control, minimising risks, and ensuring all contracts are executed to the highest standards.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

– Prepare, review, and manage construction contracts ensuring legal and regulatory compliance

– Provide accurate and detailed cost estimates for residential and commercial construction projects

– Conduct quantity take-offs using industry-standard software

– Analyse drawings, specifications, and documentation to estimate project scope and costs

– Evaluate tenders, negotiate contracts, and recommend award decisions

– Track project costs, monitor budgets, and produce regular financial reports

– Identify risks, suggest mitigation strategies, and resolve contractual disputes

– Manage subcontractor agreements and monitor compliance

REQUIREMENTS

– Minimum 5 years of experience in residential and commercial construction in Western Australia

– Extensive knowledge of construction contracts, procurement processes, and project management

– Proven track record in preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates

– Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities

– Excellent negotiation and conflict resolution skills

– Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines

– Knowledge of relevant building codes, regulations, and safety standards

– Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident
