Salary Range: $120,000-$140,000 per annum

Position Overview:

We’re seeking a dynamic, forward-thinking finance and accounting leader to join our team as Controller. This role is critical to our next phase of growth. You’ll lead core accounting operations, build and mentor a high-performing team, and work cross-functionally to deliver financial insights that drive strategic decision-making. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, tech-savvy, and energized by the fast pace and complexity of a high growth SaaS business.


Key Responsibilities:


Lead, mentor and develop a high-performing accounting team with focus on growth, accountability and continuous improvement.
Own the month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting under IFRS.
Oversee all accounting operations including general ledger, revenue recognition, AR/AP and banking/payment activities.
Prepare and deliver monthly financial statements, management reports and variance analysis and present insights to business unit leaders.
Support FP&A team in preparing budgets, forecasts, key performance metrics and strategic financial analysis.
Support contract reviews and technical accounting assessments, particularly related to revenue recognition and M&A activity.
Prepare and review working papers to support quarterly and annual financial reporting and serve as primary liaison with external auditors.
Drive process automation and improvements by leveraging financial systems and AI tools .Maintain and monitor internal controls over financial reporting to ensure strong design, documentation, and operational effectiveness.
Support post-acquisition integration efforts, aligning accounting policies, controls, and reporting.
Collaborate with the finance transformation team to evaluate and implement new financial systems and automation tools.
Participate in cross-functional initiatives to enable WELLSTAR’s strategic growth plans.

Desired Qualifications:

CPA designation required
5+ years of progressive finance & accounting experience, including 2+ years in a managerial rolePrevious experience in SaaS or high-growth technology environment strongly preferred
Solid understanding of subscription-based revenue models and SaaS metrics
Strong command of IFRS, with experience managing audits and financial reporting cycles
Proven ability to lead and develop finance teams and to scale finance operations in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills
High level of integrity, attention to detail, and a proactive problem-solving mindset
Advanced proficiency in excel and accounting systems (e.g., Microsoft Dynamics, QuickBooks, Xero)
