Key Responsibilities • Client Acquisition and Retention: Identify and prospect potential clients in the logistics industry through various channels such as cold calling, networking events, referrals, and online research. • Conduct sales presentations and demonstrations to showcase the company's services and value proposition. • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients, addressing their needs promptly and effectively to ensure satisfaction and retention. • Sales Strategy and Planning: Assist in developing and implementing strategic sales plans to achieve sales targets and objectives. • Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to identify opportunities for growth and improvement. • Collaborate with the sales team and other departments to develop customized solutions for clients and address their specific logistics challenges. • Proposal Development and Negotiation: Prepare and present proposals, quotes, and contracts to potential clients, outlining the scope of services, pricing, and terms. • Negotiate contracts and agreements with clients to ensure mutually beneficial outcomes while maximizing revenue and profitability. • Work closely with internal teams such as operations and finance to ensure seamless execution of client projects and adherence to contractual obligations. • Sales Performance Monitoring and Reporting: Track and analyze sales performance metrics such as revenue, pipeline development, and conversion rates. • Prepare regular sales reports and forecasts for management review, providing insights into sales trends, opportunities, and challenges. • Identify areas for improvement and recommend strategies to optimize sales effectiveness and efficiency. Requirements • Proven experience in sales or business development, preferably in the logistics industry. • Strong understanding of logistics processes, supply chain management, and transportation operations. • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills. • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment. • Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office suite.
