Qualifications
Required Experience & Skills
A minimum of 2 years' experience in commercial/government facility construction project management relating to:
Financial analysis using excel spreadsheets, including formulas and formats
Experience with cost controls and financial cost tracking
Experience with database software and report production
Experience developing and evaluating economic analysis
Experience developing and evaluating construction project cost estimates and tracking funds
SharePoint Database management and design
Ability to pass a DHS "suitability" background investigation is a requirement
Our positions may require a background screening and clearance directly from the Government

Job Description
The Building People, LLC, has a position open for an experienced Cost Control/Construction Accountant. Responsibilities include providing the federal client with professional on-site facility, and project management services across a variety of small to large-scale construction projects. Projects may include space upgrades or modification/reconfiguration of spaces to meet the mission needs of clients.

Key Responsibilities:
• Effectively manage an assigned portfolio of projects while addressing challenges related:
• Construction cost management, tracking of funds, and Budgeting.
• Financial analysis, economic analysis, report production.
• Project administration, program management, database management.
Skills & Requirements

Required Experience & Skills

Preferred Experience & Skills
• CPA, PMP, and federal government accounting experience highly desired.
• Experience managing complex new construction or major renovation commercial/government building projects with experience managing simultaneous construction and/or building projects
• Ability to work independently, in groups, and in a stressful environment

Preferred Education
• An accounting, business, finance, or construction management bachelor's degree (civil, mechanical, electrical or architectural, etc) from an accredited University recognized by the U.S. Department of Education
