Working from our architecturally designed Administration Centre in central Maitland, we are seeking a highly organised and motivated executive support professional to join the Office of the General Manager, as their Council Services and Governance Officer.
About the Role
By delivering professional and timely Council and governance services and reporting, this role is critical in supporting the Office of the General Manager to achieve annual goals, programs, and projects. You will be responsible for the coordination of Council’s Business Papers and Minutes via Council’s report management software, of which you will become a subject matter expert.
Additionally, you will provide administrative support for key functions such as Council meetings, briefings and Committee meetings. As Council Services and Governance Officer you will administer and manage Council Registers, and ensure internal and external compliance reporting, while providing a high level of customer service and executive level support for stakeholders and the Council Services and Governance team.
About You
You will hold a Certificate IV in Business Administration or an equivalent combination of education and relevant contemporary experience in records management. To succeed in this role, you will possess demonstrated knowledge of the NSW State Records Act 1++8, record keeping standards, and best practice, along with proven experience in using and optimising Information and Records Management systems.
You will also have demonstrated knowledge of other relevant legislation including the Government Information (Public Access) Act 200+ (GIPA Act) and Privacy and Personal Information Protection Act 1++8 (PPIP Act). Your highly developed interpersonal and problem-solving skills, and ability to effectively communicate at all levels of the organisation, will aid in your ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders.
Benefits
This is a permanent full-time role working 35 hours per week, with a base salary ranging from $75227 - $83502 per year based on demonstrated competencies + 11.5% p.a superannuation.
