Description: Counsellor - Elementary Grades K-6


Location: District position, Sparwood, BC


Contract Type: Full-time Continuing (1.0 FTE)


Salary Range: The starting annual salary for this teaching position ranges from $63,357 to $112,345, with placement on the range based on length of service and qualifications in accordance with the collective agreement.

-Preference will be given to applicants with BC Teacher Certification.


Must have a degree/formal training and/or teaching experience in subjects and at a level specific to each

posting.





Job Summary:

Counsellor - Elementary Grades K-6

1.0 FTE continuing contract, starting September 2, 2025 or upon completion of the posting process.

Must have a Master's Degree recognized by the BC Teacher Regulation Branch in Counselling, Psychology in Counselling or Psychology. Must have a degree/formal training and or teaching experience at the Elementary School level. Must have training and or experience in trauma informed practice.

This is a District position, with a current home base of Sparwood, BC to support Frank J. Mitchell Elementary School. Please note that all work will be onsite.
