Roles & Responsibilities
• Develop, enhance, and maintain applications using RPG (RPGLE, RPG/400), CL, and SQL on the IBM AS400/iSeries platform.
• Analyze business requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
• Design, code, test, debug, and document AS400-based applications.
• Perform troubleshooting, debugging, and performance tuning of existing applications.
• Develop and maintain APIs, data interfaces, and integration solutions with other systems.
• Ensure security, compliance, and data integrity standards are met.
• Work closely with business analysts, project managers, and other IT teams to deliver solutions on time.
• Provide support and maintenance for production applications, ensuring minimal downtime.
• Stay updated with industry trends and advancements in AS400 and RPG development.

Required Skills And Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• 3+ years of experience in AS400 development, including RPG (RPGLE, RPG/400), CL, and SQL.
• Strong knowledge of DB2 databases and query optimization.
• Experience with ILE concepts, modular programming, and service programs.
• Familiarity with AS400 tools such as Query/400, SDA, PDM, SEU, and RLU.
• Knowledge of AS400 security, system operations, and performance tuning.
• Experience with APIs, web services, and modern integration techniques is a plus.
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, and debugging skills.
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills.
• Experience in modernizing legacy AS400 applications.
• Knowledge of Java, .NET, or other programming languages for integration purposes.
• Exposure to DevOps tools, version control, and automation.
