School Office Support II
Temporary Full Time (32.5 hours/week)

Duties to Commence: As soon as possible until June 27, 2025
Qualifications & Duties:
Committed to being a model and witness to Christ-centered education values and beliefs.
Apply foundational knowledge about First Nations, Métis and Inuit for the benefit of all students, and support the Division's goals towards advancing Truth and Reconciliation.
High School diploma supplemented by related post-secondary education i.e. one-year business administration, secretarial diploma.
Minimum 2 years' experience in a school or office environment.
Knowledge of office routines, procedures and practices is required.
Experience with cash, Accounts Receivable/Payable, purchasing, internal & external reporting, financial coding, visa reconciliation, along with knowledge of internal controls.
Experience with Rycor is preferred.
Experience with PowerSchool/Atrieve and/or other office administrative software is preferred.
Previous financial management experience with a school jurisdiction is an asset.
Excellent spreadsheet & computer skills (MAC preferred).
Knowledge of high school courses, sequence and operation.
Knowledge of Safe Arrival System.
Competency with MS Word, MS Excel, MS Power Point and gmail is required.
Experience with Google docs and/or Google apps for Education an asset.
Strong organizational skills, interpersonal skills and excellent phone etiquette and reception skills.
Ability to work independently and with little supervision.
Ability to work appropriately with Junior/Senior High school students.
Maintain comprehensive school and student records for the school, division office and Alberta Education.
Maintain effective communication links between the office of the principal, division office personnel and Alberta Education.
Responsible for the day-to-day financial tasks for the school including but not limited to the following:
Preparing bank deposits
Maintaining drivers' files and MFAB repairs and maintenance
Preparing and printing reports for budgeting
Visa Reconciliation
Receiving and coding cash and electronic payments to the school
Placing orders as required for school needs
Assessing and monitoring fees in Rycor
Assisting administration with the co-ordination of major and minor public relations events
Understanding of division policies and procedures
Flexibility in adjusting to changing assignments and all duties as assigned.
