The Role
Reporting to the Director of Cyber Governance and Education, the Cyber Security Officer is responsible for a range of cyber-related tasks including supporting the departmental IT Security Advisor. This includes managing cyber incidents and queries; providing written and verbal cybersecurity advice to staff, the executive and client agencies; assisting with projects such as our phishing campaign and cyber uplift; and drafting of briefs, risk assessments and security policies.
Duties and Responsibilities
Responsibilities of the APS Level 6 may include:
Providing IT security advice to the department, including risk assessments, briefs, and advice on compliance with the Protective Security Policy Framework (PSPF) and Information Security Manual (ISM).
Assisting in maintaining relevant documentation, such as policies, standards, guidelines, and standard operating procedures, ensuring they comply with PSPF and ISM.
Monitoring and actioning activities in ServiceNow and ITSA email box to meet service level arrangements.
Support the cyber safety education program for the department and client agencies.
