Dance Teacher

Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Dance Teacher to join our vibrant team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Ballet and Tap and a commitment to fostering a positive learning environment for students aged 5 to 13 years. As a Dance Teacher, you will play a pivotal role in teaching dance techniques, choreography, and performance skills while inspiring students to express themselves through movement.

Responsibilities

Develop and deliver engaging Ballet and Tap lessons tailored to different age groups and skill levels.(Commercial , Hip Hop or Pom would be advantageous).
Create choreography for performances ensuring it is appropriate for the students’ abilities.
Provide constructive feedback to students to enhance their skills and confidence.
Organise showcases, and other events to promote student achievements.
Maintain a safe and supportive classroom environment that encourages inclusion, creativity and self-expression.
Collaborate with other teachers to develop comprehensive programmes that meet the needs of all students.
Stay updated on current dance trends and techniques to continually enhance teaching methods.
Qualifications

Proven experience as a Dance Teacher or in a similar role within a dance studio or educational setting.
Proficiency in Ballet and Tap with the ability to teach them effectively.
Strong communication skills with the ability to engage and motivate students.
A passion for teaching and nurturing young talent in the art of dance.
Saturday availability: 11AM until 3PM (approximately) with the potential of more days/hours.
Relevant certifications or qualifications in dance education are essential.
A background in performance is desirable.
