Job Description:

A dance teacher is responsible for teaching dance techniques and choreography to students of all ages and skill levels. They must create lesson plans, conduct classes, and provide individualized attention to each student. A dance teacher should have a strong background in different dance styles and be able to communicate the intricacies of each style effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

Plan and prepare dance lessons for students based on their skill level and age group.
Teach students different dance styles, such as ballet, jazz, tap, hip-hop, or contemporary, and help them master each style's techniques and movements.
Create choreography and develop routines for recitals or performances.
Provide individualized attention and feedback to students to help them improve their technique and performance.
Monitor and evaluate students' progress and adjust teaching methods accordingly.
Maintain a safe and positive learning environment for all students.
Communicate with parents or guardians to update them on their child's progress and encourage them to support their child's dance education.
Participate in faculty meetings, workshops, and training sessions to stay updated on new teaching methods and dance trends.
Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in dance or a related field.
Prior experience in teaching dance techniques to students of all ages.
Strong background in different dance styles, with the ability to teach multiple styles.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Patience, creativity, and a passion for teaching.
Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
Strong organizational and time-management skills.
