As a Senior Consultant Data Engineer in the AI & Data service line at EY, you will play a pivotal role in supporting and executing high-impact projects. You will work directly with clients to understand their business needs, design and implement advanced analytics models, and develop AI solutions that drive measurable value.
Managing project teams, mentoring junior consultants, and ensuring the successful delivery of complex initiatives.
Stay abreast of the latest advancements in AI and data science, contributing to the continuous enhancement of our service offerings.
Expertise and leadership will be instrumental in helping clients navigate the rapidly evolving landscape of AI and data, ultimately enabling them to achieve their strategic goals.
This role can be performed from any of our EY offices across Aotearoa. Our roles can potentially be adjusted to work flexibly with reduced hours. Please speak with us about potential options

The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in data science, artificial intelligence, and advanced analytics, with a proven track record of delivering innovative solutions to complex business problems in a consulting environment.
Ideally, you’ll also have the skills and attributes below but don’t worry if you don’t tick all the boxes. We’re interested in your aptitude, attitude and willingness to learn.
Lead and manage AI and data projects from inception to completion, ensuring timely delivery and high-quality outcomes.
Collaborate with clients to understand their business needs and develop tailored AI and data solutions that drive value and achieve strategic objectives.
Design, develop, and implement advanced analytics models, machine learning algorithms, and AI solutions to solve complex business problems.
Conduct data analysis, data mining, and data visualization to uncover insights and support decision-making processes.
Mentor and guide junior team members, providing technical expertise and fostering a culture of continuous learning and development.
Communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.
Have a degree in Data Science or similar.
Ideal but not essential would-be practical knowledge with one or more of the following; Snowflake, Informatica or DBT.
