About the role - Mō te tūranga

As our Data Lead, you’ll be in a pivotal role where you’re going to be working closely with your key stakeholders. You’ll bring fresh ideas and best practice to deliver real impact across the business.

Key responsibilities include:

Mentor and grow our analytics team, fostering a culture of excellence
Lead the development and deployment of AI-powered analytics solutions
Architect and implement unified data access and governance strategies
Collaborate on cloud migration and integration initiatives
Deliver actionable insights and identify opportunities for automation and predictive modelling

We’re looking for a hands-on data professional with a commercial mindset and a passion for making a difference. You’ll have the technical skills and experience to drive change and support our transformation and growth journey.

Additionally, you’ll have:

Minimum 5 years’ experience in data lead, analytics, or data engineering roles
Demonstrated commercial experience with Python and SQL
Proven expertise in AI/ML and cloud technologies
Experience in a top 200 company (transport and logistics, manufacturing, telco, or power sector preferred)
Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
