Job Title: Data Management Analyst
Contract Duration: 12 MonthsLocation: Edmonton, AB
Work Type: Remote (Canada) or on-site in Edmonton
About the Role:
As a Data Management Analyst, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality, integrity, and accessibility of data within our organization. You will work closely with various departments to develop and implement data governance strategies, analyze data to support decision-making and provide training and support on data management best practices.
Key Responsibilities:
• Manage data quality, including requirements documentation, metrics monitoring, and issue resolution.
• Implement and enforce data governance policies and standards.
• Analyze datasets to provide insights and recommendations.
• Create and maintain data documentation.
• Collaborate with data owners, users, and IT teams.
• Provide training and support on data stewardship and tools.
• Generate data quality and compliance reports.
• Work with cross-functional teams on data solutions.
Required Skills and Experience:
• Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Information Management, Computer Science, or a related field.
• 10+ years of experience in data management, data analysis, or a similar role.
• Strong analytical skills with proficiency in data analysis tools (SQL, Excel, Power BI).
• Familiarity with data governance frameworks and best practices.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience with data quality tools and methodologies.
• Knowledge of regulatory requirements related to data management (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA).
• Certifications in data governance or management (CDMP, DGSP).
• Experience with programming languages such as Python or R.
