Are you organised, detail-focused, and ready to take on a key role in managing technical documentation? We are looking for a Data Management Officer to ensure technical documents are well-organised, high-quality, and easily accessible within our clients Database Management System (DBMS).
The primary focus of this role is to maintain a comprehensive database of technical documentation within the Database Management System (DBMS) and ensure the data quality is upheld in a systematic and organised manner. This involves managing and categorising sensitive data, such as classified documents, technical designs, and other critical information. Utilising their configuration library, you will structure data with accurate headers, sub-headers, and classifications to streamline document retrieval.
The ideal candidate will have a strong eye for detail, a systematic approach, and proficiency with data management systems. This role requires excellent organisational skills and meticulous attention to detail to ensure all information is easily searchable for team members needing quick access to specific files.
Location: Devonport
Duration: 6 months +
Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday - Friday
Start date: ASAP
Key Responsibilities:
Maintain and organise a comprehensive database of technical documentation within the DBMS
Ensure data quality by performing regular data cleansing and updates
Apply version control practices to track document revisions accurately
Use the configuration library to label data with clear categories, headers, and sub-headers
Facilitate quick document retrieval for team members by ensuring an organised, searchable database
Identify and implement process improvements to streamline data handling and organisation
Skills required:
Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining data accuracy
Ability to identify, develop, and implement process, procedural, and system improvements
Organised and methodical approach to handling information
Experience with database management systems, ideally ProjectWise
Proficiency in categorising and structuring data to enhance searchability
Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members
