Position Summary
DarkStar Intelligence is seeking a highly skilled Database Administrator (DBA2) to maintain the integrity, security, and availability of multiple databases. The DBA will be responsible for administering, maintaining, developing, and implementing policies and procedures to ensure the security and integrity of databases. Additionally, this role includes evaluating and recommending Database Management System (DBMS) products and performing software life-cycle activities to maintain optimal system performance. Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
• Active TS/SCI clearance with Full-Scope Polygraph
• 10 years of experience as a Database Administrator (DBA) in programs/contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity
• Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline from an accredited institution (4 additional years of DBA experience may substitute for a degree)
• Strong skills in Oracle and PostgreSQL database systems
Desired Qualifications:
• Experience establishing and maintaining database user accounts
• Expertise in performance optimization, index maintenance, and disaster recovery
• Knowledge of server administration across a variety of database products, including Oracle, SQL Server, and SYBASE
• Experience supporting data modeling activities and prototype database implementations
• Ability to coordinate database architecture changes with Database Engineers (DBEs)
• Experience in administering current and emerging database tools, strategies, and technologies
