Responsibilities
The Database Administrator is a key member of the Resource Development (RD) team and is responsible for managing and staying up to date with best practices for the systems that support the RD department
This includes RD tools Salesforce, Classy, iWave, and GivePulse, as well as Pardot (Now Known As: Marketing Cloud Account Engagement) in conjunction with the Marketing Department
In this role, the Database Administrator will also partner with members of the Finance and Accounting teams to ensure proper reporting and monthly reconciliation
Oversee the organization's Salesforce CRM (Nonprofit Success Pack, NPSP) database including data integrity, the accuracy of records, and data analysis
Provide technical and analytical support/expertise for CRM-related initiatives
Ensure integrity of systems Processes donations promptly and accurately, according to best practices
Regularly runs revenue and reconciliation reports and advises on progress of revenues against annual goals
Performs maintenance projects on the database as necessary, including updating and deduping records
Supports team for donor receptions/events, including major fundraisers, which may involve additional event software
Communicates directly with donors and financial institutions to clarify donation-related questions
Manage Salesforce integration with applications including Classy, Pardot, Apsona for Salesforce, GivePulse, iWave and Outlook Proactive system maintenance including security reviews, release updates, and health checks
Ensure that all processes, protocols, and deliverables are met on time and provide routine updates and report outs to the Director of Development and Resource Development team as appropriate
Collaborate with the Finance in reviewing monthly budget variance reports and accounting information
Create protocols for data entry, monitoring, and updating in all systems and identify opportunities for systems integration to reduce data entry, and increased cross-departmental collaboration
Troubleshoot technical problems and errors encountered by users and reach out to users to recommend best practices or clarify data entry procedures
Work with vendors and IT staff to escalate and resolve issues as needed to support projects and operations
Engage and collaborate with Salesforce community members to leverage efficiency
Backup Salesforce data monthly, restore lost data
Responsible for performing weekly, monthly and year-end reconciliation with the Accounting Department

Requirements
Minimum Requirements (Education/Experience/Certificates/Licenses):
• Bachelor's Degree and a minimum of four (4) years of experience working in a nonprofit with database administration and/or fundraising responsibilities.
• Database experience. Preferred: Salesforce Certified Administrator, preferred Salesforce Certified Nonprofit Cloud Consultant.
• Analytical thinker with the ability to break down complex problems and develop step-by-step solutions.
• Excellent project management skills and the ability to manage complex timelines and multiple projects.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Must be well organized and detailed oriented.
• Demonstrated a high level of confidence in making strategic decisions, good judgment, and innovative and creative problem-solving skills.
