Responsibilities
Leads the installation and configuration of the SQL Server database environments and ensures the Maximo database setup aligns with best practices for performance and security
Monitors database performance, identifies bottlenecks, and applies changes to database settings or SQL queries to enhance speed and efficiency including indexing strategies, query optimization, and configuring server resources
Leads the implementation of a robust backup strategies for data integrity and availability
Manages user roles and permissions, encrypting data as necessary, and protecting against unauthorized access
Oversees database maintenance tasks, such as updating statistics, rebuilding indexes, and applying patches or updates to the SQL Server and Maximo
Troubleshoots problems as they arise and provides technical support to users and other IT staff
Monitors the growth of databases and plans for future storage, compute, and memory needs
Creates and manages reports, as well as extracts data for analysis purposes

Job Description
