Career Description:
Database Administrator will have a strong technical background in SQL Server, Azure SQL, CosmosDB, SQL, SSRS, SSIS, and SSAS. The ideal candidate will have experience in Azure DevOps processes, including the ability to create, set up, and manage these systems.
As a Database Administrator, you will be responsible for maintaining and optimizing our database systems to ensure maximum uptime and performance. You will work closely with other members of the technical team to design and implement database solutions that meet the needs of the organization. Additionally, you will be responsible for managing database security, backups, and disaster recovery processes.
The successful candidate will be a self-starter who is comfortable working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. They will have excellent problem-solving skills and be able to work independently with minimal supervision. Additionally, they should be able to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical team members.
Primary Responsibilities:
1. Solve highly technical and complex problems.
2. Conduct the following for Azure SQL/CosmosDB/Azure SQL MI/SQL on Azure VM, On Prem SQL Server, SSRS, SSIS, Azure Synapse and other related products as applicable and necessary
3. Install/Configure/Setup/Administer and Maintain production and non-production environments
4. Setup High-Availability and Disaster Recovery
5. Plan and test high availability and disaster recovery
6. Create Users and assign/manage permissions based on the level of access the user would need; ensure robust and full proof security of assets
7. Resolve database integrity, performance, blocking, connectivity, and replication issues.
8. Detect and resolve database-related CPU, memory, I/O, disk space and other contention issues.
+. Perform and manage Database backup/recovery/restore and capacity monitoring
10. Synapse workload management and optimization
11. Setup SQL agent jobs, elastic jobs and runbook automation
12. Identify and setup alerts and logging in Azure
13. Maintain databases – Statistics, Indexes, fragmentation
14. Conduct Performance tuning and optimization (Stored procedures, Views, Functions, Queries, database)
15. Implement operational automation using scripts.
16. Upgrade and maintain SQL Server and related software (apply patches and updates when necessary)
17. Coordinate removal and/or archiving of data that is no longer required to be available in the production databases.
18. Deploy and configure SSIS packages and SSRS Reports. Troubleshoot issues with SSRS and SSIS.
1+. Design and create databases to support development initiatives

21. Support release/code deployment activities
22. Provide 24x7 support as necessary
Information Privacy and Security

· Following eHealth Technologies’ information privacy and security policies, procedures, standard operating procedures, appendices, attachments, etc.

· Safeguarding the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of covered information at all times, whether or not on duty.
Knowledge and Skill Requirements:
· Must have an Associate’s Degree in Computer Science, Math, Engineering, MIS, or IT related from an accredited institution, BS degree preferred; or 3 years of full stack development can be substituted for BS degree,
· Minimum of 2 years experience in full-stack software development, preferred 5+ years
· History of successfully developing software following an Agile methodology
· Understanding of CI/CD
· Strong customer focus.
· Strong knowledge of data structures, algorithms, enterprise software, asynchronous architectures, and object-oriented programming.
· Ability to work independently

Key Relationships:
1. Directly supervised by the Director of Engineering
2. Interacts regularly with eHealth Technologies staff, customers, vendors, and community members.
Essential Functions:
• Physical Requirements: Extended periods of time typing, data entry, sitting, reading, writing, filing. Lifting up to 20 lbs.
2. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear.
• Mental Requirements include General, Visual, and Numerical Intelligence. Analytical skills.
• As eHealth Technologies’ workforce is currently teleworking remotely from home, it is a requirement of the position that employees have the following minimum requirements available in their home internet network, including a router that:
• Must achieve minimum speeds of 100MBPS for download and 10MBPS for upload, or any other higher speed required for the work to be produced contingent upon your role.
• Availability of at least two (2) Ethernet connections in the router to the internet source is required (for your PC and phone).
• Workstation should be plugged directly into the router as a hardwire connection to high-speed internet is critical to maintaining approved speeds for optimal functioning of various operational hardware, software and tools, as required for work performance; an appropriate Wi-Fi connection may satisfy this connection to high-speed internet.
• Router should be updated regularly with latest firmware, or ultimately replaced if router speeds are not within the minimum specifications above.
Work Conditions:
1. Normal office environment or telecommuting
2. On-call availability during the week with occasional weekend work.
