About The Role

Our Tech Hub team is expanding and we’re looking for a Support Technician to join our vast community of solvers. The Tech Hub team brings our purpose to life by enabling our company’s businesses to achieve their technology-driven goals. The work undertaken in Tech Hub covers a range of areas from leading and supporting the company through to the build or adoption of new technology, to protecting against risk, and delivering valuable data insights that transform our technology capabilities.

Database Development & Administration involves designing, implementing, and maintaining databases to ensure data integrity, performance, and security.

As a Database Engineer, you will be responsible for developing, managing, and optimising database systems to support the organisation's data, DR & recovery requirements. You will work closely with other IT leads to ensure data integrity, security, and performance.

You’ll help solve complex problems by using your skills in:

Providing proven experience with database management systems (e.g., SQL Server, Cloud DBs inclusive of Cosmos DB, DynamoDB, and MySQL).
SQL and database scripting knowledge.
Understanding of the cloud hyperscalers and good database architecture practices.
Database security practices.
Providing technical expertise to offer advice, influence others, and directly contribute to solutions.
Solving complex work problems by leveraging overarching guardrails, experience, and strong judgment.
Collaborating across several teams to drive results.


In our Tech Hub team, your impact will be seen by:

Developing and maintaining database systems.

Collaborating with software developers to integrate databases with applications.
Troubleshooting and resolving database issues.
