Deputy Director | Data Engineer

General Functions

The Deputy Director is a highly visible management position that assists the Executive Director

with the development and execution of operational policies for the organization. The Deputy

Director supervises the program officers and the grants manager, and ensures the foundations

programmatic work is carried out in a manner consistent with ACFs Theory of Change and

strategic plan. The Deputy Director works with the Development Director to ensure that the

program staff are integrated into development efforts including fundraising opportunities and

stewardship strategies. The Deputy Director serves as a secondary liaison to the ACF Board of

Trustees and assists in board communications and activities. The Deputy Director serves as the

organizations CEO in the absence of the Executive Director.

Duties And Responsibilities Include, But Are Not Limited To

OPERATIONAL DUTIES
• Works with the Executive Director, Finance Director and HR Manager to develop ACF

internal administrative, financial and personnel policies as appropriate.
• Ensures the implementation of internal policies among the program staff.
• Serves as liaison for internal policy issues involving program staff.
• Ensures that job responsibilities are clearly communicated and duties delegated

appropriately among program staff.
