Job description
• *About the Role**

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Design Faculty member to lead foundation courses in our design program at UPES.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in design principles, creative thinking, and visual communication, with a demonstrated ability to inspire and mentor students as they develop their foundational skills.

Key Responsibilities:

- Teach introductory design courses, including but not limited to basic drawing, color theory, typography, visual composition, and design history.

- Develop engaging lesson plans, assignments, and course materials that align with program goals and industry standards.

- Foster a collaborative and inclusive learning environment where students are encouraged to explore, experiment, and grow.

- Provide timely feedback and constructive critique to students on their work, guiding their development.

- Stay current with emerging design trends and methodologies, integrating them into the curriculum.

- Collaborate with faculty and administration on curriculum development and student progress.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Design or a related field.

- Proven experience in teaching design or art foundations, preferably in a higher education setting.

- Strong proficiency in design software (Adobe Creative Suite, etc.) and traditional media.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

- A passion for teaching and nurturing emerging design talent.
