Design Intern for T-Shirt Startup

We are seeking a creative and talented Design Intern to join our dynamic t-shirt startup team. As a Design Intern, you will have the opportunity to work on various design projects and contribute to the growth and success of our brand. This internship is a valuable opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the apparel industry and develop your design skills.

Responsibilities:

Design Creation: Use your expertise in Adobe Photoshop to create original designs for t-shirts, incorporating our brand aesthetics and target audience preferences.

Image Recreation: Recreate designs from images, ensuring accuracy and maintaining the essence of the original artwork.

Collaboration: Work closely with the design team to brainstorm and develop concepts for new designs, contributing fresh ideas and perspectives.

Design Modifications: Make necessary adjustments and modifications to existing designs based on feedback from team members or clients, ensuring the final product meets quality standards.

Production Support: Assist in preparing design files for production, ensuring they are print-ready and meet technical requirements.

Trend Research: Stay up-to-date with current design trends, market demands, and competitor analysis to help inform and inspire new design concepts.

File Organization: Maintain a well-organized digital file system, ensuring easy access and retrieval of design assets.

Quality Control: Assist in reviewing and proofreading final designs to ensure accuracy, consistency, and adherence to brand guidelines.

Requirements:

Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop: Demonstrated skills in using Photoshop for design creation, image manipulation, and editing.

Creativity and Design Sense: A keen eye for aesthetics, typography, and visual composition, with the ability to translate ideas into compelling designs.

Attention to Detail: Strong accuracy and precision in recreating designs from images while maintaining the integrity of the original artwork.

Strong Communication Skills: Ability to effectively collaborate with team members, receive feedback, and articulate design concepts and ideas.

Time Management: Excellent organizational skills to prioritize tasks and meet project deadlines.

Passion for T-Shirts and Fashion: An interest in the apparel industry, understanding of current design trends, and knowledge of popular t-shirt design styles.

Adaptability and Openness to Learning: Willingness to learn new design techniques, software, and processes to enhance design skills.

Portfolio: A portfolio showcasing your design work, including examples of t-shirt designs and image recreation, is highly desirable.
