As a result of Georgiou’s significant growth, we are seeking an experienced and capable Design Manager to join our Engineering Team.
Ideally this role may suit candidates who live centrally or south of the river.
The successful candidate will be required to oversee specific projects from the tender and design phase, through to project completion. The role will ensure all processes are efficiently executed and in line with Client requirements and expectations, while constantly identifying areas where advantages can be gained for the project.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
Define and manage the development of the design brief and all related activities within the design scope
Lead and manage the design team throughout the project life cycle
Manage the creation and review of drawings, plans, blueprints and other engineering data
Manage, approve and update the designs to reflect post implementation changes
Ensure quality assurance is applied in the development and finalisation of all Site Designs
Assist in the development of Project Management Plans (PMP) and provide input into forecasting and month end reports
Assist in the preparation of contractual/progress claims and the negotiation of acceptable solutions with the relevant stakeholders
Manage the design budget and financial control to ensure deliverables are met
Establish and develop trusting relationships with clients’ representatives, consultants and other relevant stakeholders
We Are Seeking Candidates With
Previous demonstrated experience working in a similar role within the Civil Construction industry
Australian based D&C project experience in relevant construction projects
Demonstrated success managing and ensuring project delivery in line with client requirements and expectations
Relevant Engineering Degree
Cert IV in Project Management or equivalent level of competence is highly desirable but not essential
