Designer

Role Overview
We are looking for a creative and skilled UX/UI Designer with a strong understanding of 3D interfaces to join our Platform team. You will be responsible for designing intuitive user experiences for our mining software platform, with a particular focus on both traditional dashboard interfaces and 3D visualization elements. Your designs will directly impact how mining professionals interact with our cutting-edge AI technology.

This is a remote position working with our small but growing team. You'll collaborate closely with our platform engineering lead and product management to create designs that balance functionality, usability, and visual appeal, bringing complex data visualizations to life for our mining clients.

Key Responsibilities
Create wireframes, mockups, and prototypes for both 2D dashboard elements and 3D interfaces using tools like Figma

Design intuitive UX flows that allow mining professionals to effectively interact with complex data

Develop a consistent design system and visual language for our platform

Create interactive designs for 3D data visualization components

Work closely with front-end developers to ensure designs are implemented accurately

Conduct user research and usability testing to inform design decisions

Improve existing interfaces based on user feedback and analytics

Create documentation of design patterns and guidelines

Stay current with UX/UI best practices and emerging trends in 3D visualization

Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product management, engineering, and client-facing teams

Technical Competencies & Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or related field OR equivalent professional experience

3+ years of professional UX/UI design experience

Portfolio demonstrating strong UX/UI design skills for web applications

Experience with design tools such as Figma, Adobe XD, or Sketch

Understanding of 3D interfaces and visualization concepts

Experience creating compelling marketing materials and published collateral

Ability to communicate design decisions effectively and incorporate feedback

Experience designing data-heavy interfaces and dashboards

Strong visual design skills with attention to typography, color theory, and composition

Understanding of user-centered design principles and methodologies

Excellent communication and collaboration skills

Nice to Have
Experience with 3D visualization tools or gaming interfaces

Background in designing for technical or scientific applications

Knowledge of WebGL, Three.js, or other 3D web technologies

Understanding of mining industry terminology or geospatial data visualization

Experience working with front-end developers and understanding technical constraints

Experience working in a startup environment

Knowledge of accessibility standards and inclusive design

Experience with motion design or micro-interactions
