Conduct thorough consultations with clients to understand their lifestyle, preferences, and functional requirements for their renovation project.
Develop innovative and practical renovations designs that align with client preferences and industry trends.
Utilise design software and tools to create detailed plans, including layout, materials, and color schemes.
Work closely with the interior team, contractors, and vendors to ensure the smooth execution of design plans.
Develop accurate cost estimates for proposed renovation projects, considering materials, labor, and other associated costs.
Address client inquiries and concerns promptly and professionally.
Gather information on constraints and timeline expectations.
Build sustainable and mutually beneficial relationships
Skills Required
Experience as an Interior Designer OR Kitchen Designer with a portfolio showcasing successful projects
Minimum 3 years work experience (related or similar)
Local experience required
Proficiency in design software such as Sketchup
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines
Up-to-date knowledge of industry trends and innovations
Maintain clear and consistent communication with clients throughout the design and implementation process
Potential long-term developments of the role: In-house designer, consent related renovations, commercial renovations and architectural renovations
An open and collaborative "can do" attitude
Happy to share knowledge and skills with others to achieve the project objectives.
· Applicants for this position should have NZ residency or a valid NZ work visa.
