Beyond traditional local government services, we are deeply invested in the social, environmental, and economic development of our region. We are values driven and work as One with respect for Ailan Kastom.
About the role:
The Desktop and Systems Administrator plays a critical role in ensuring the availability, performance and security of all Information Technology and Communications systems within the Torres Strait Island Regional Council (TSIRC). This role supports staff across a broad geographic area, providing efficient and effective IT solutions to enhance business activities. The position involves both strategic oversight and hands-on administration, including application development and maintenance, ensuring that the Council's IT infrastructure is robust, secure, and optimally performing.
Occasional travel to the Torres Strait Islands is a requirement of this position.
Benefits:
You will be based in Cairns, one of Queensland's peak destinations with the Barrier Reef and Rainforests on your doorstep. You will also get to travel to the picturesque Torres Strait Islands and make a significantly meaningful contribution to the Communities which we serve.
A competitive salary, six week's annual leave, additional public holidays as well as support for study and development make this a sought after position.
