We are looking for someone to #JoinUs as a Developer in our eServices Team within the Digital Services Division. Could you be who we are looking for?

About The Team/Department You Will Be Joining
• We design and develop software solutions for both South Wales and Gwent Police forces.
• We are responsible for making the process of policing more efficient and effective through the introduction of digital technology.
• Our department covers all the main digital programmes in the force from Facial Recognition Technology to HR Systems, Digital Interviews and Fleet Telematics
• We work flexibly between +.00am – 5:00pm Monday to Friday, either within the office or remotely.

About The Role And Your Key Responsibilities
• You will work with internal stakeholders to formulate and develop bespoke solutions.
• The role will be involved in all aspects of the Software Development Lifecycle for a series of real-life challenges facing the South Wales and Gwent forces.
• Full stack developer based on the Microsoft stack (C#, .Net Core, Xamarin, SQL server, Azure)
• You will offer support for existing solutions using your technical expertise to swiftly resolve issues.
• Within a supportive team you will undertake system improvements and optimisation, enhancing overall performance.

What skills and experience do we need you to bring to the role:
• We are looking for people with knowledge of designing and developing solutions in a corporate environment but will consider other experiences you feel relevant.
• Have you worked in a software development environment and feel that you want to contribute as part of a friendly, forward-thinking team that embraces new technologies?
• We’re keen to hear from you if you have a background in frontend or backend web or mobile development using the Microsoft stack.
