Responsibilities
As a Development Professional, you will design, develop, and optimize fasteners and screws, ensuring high quality and performance
You will drive product development, work with manufacturing and sales teams, and provide technical support and training
Initially, you will test and validate products from an Asian supplier to meet U.S. standards, and later lead the design of new fasteners and hardware, including patenting innovations
Some travel is required for training and supplier visits
Schedule: 40 hours/week - Monday through Friday, + A.M. to 5 PM
Product Development:
Lead the end-to-end development process of fasteners and screws, from conceptualization to prototyping and final production
Conduct thorough research to stay abreast of industry trends, materials, and manufacturing processes relevant to fastener technology
Utilize CAD software and other engineering tools to create detailed designs, specifications, and technical documentation for new fasteners and screws and/or understanding of such
Collaborate with the design team to ensure products meet aesthetic, functional, and manufacturability requirements
Material Selection and Testing:
Evaluate and select appropriate materials for fastener production, considering factors such as strength, durability, and cost-effectiveness
Conduct rigorous testing and analysis to validate the performance and reliability of developed fasteners
Work closely with manufacturing, quality control, and procurement teams to ensure seamless integration of new fastener designs into the production process
Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to provide technical support and contribute to product positioning
