Job description
A leading corporate banking and capital markets organisation is seeking a DevOps Intern to join their team in London.
Main Purpose of this role:
The Market Data (MD) cluster is responsible for sourcing, distribution and provision of market data within Commerzbank. By actively managing vendors, licenses and requirements, as well as implementing market data platforms and services, the cluster is actively driving process automation and significant cost reductions without negatively impacting our business or capabilities.
Market Data permeates the whole Enterprise and it is, therefore, essential that the Market Data cluster is in close contact with all business areas to understand their market data requirements, the market data providers and their services and delivery channels.
The Market Data cluster also optimizes Market Data Connectivity to meet business requirements based on latency, bandwidth, and cost. The market data monitoring will be continuously expanded to monitor market data consumption and identify inefficiencies such as duplication, unnecessary or unused licenses.
We are now recruiting interns who are outstanding technologists from a Computer Science or similar background. Our teams are small, highly collaborative and multi-disciplinary. They are trusted and have complete responsibility for the work they do. They work closely with colleagues at all levels in the bank to achieve what is required.
We are proud to have an environment where ideas from all colleagues are encouraged and can be supported through to realisation. New colleagues are quickly integrated into teams and have the opportunity to actively contribute from the very start.
The role involves working closely with the operations team building and maintaining the existing Market Data suite of applications and includes the automation of the operational processes.
Duration: 12 months
Key Requirements:
• Graduated in the last 12 months.
• The successful candidate is likely to be educated to degree level in Mathematics, Physics, Engineering, Econometrics, or similar highly quantitative discipline.
