Career Opportunity and Primary Roles / Responsibilities

We are looking for a DevOps Software Engineer to support the development, testing, and deployment of mission-critical aerospace software systems. This role focuses on building and maintaining secure, scalable CI/CD pipelines to streamline software delivery on Amazon Web Services (AWS). You will play a key part in advancing automation, improving development workflows, and supporting cloud infrastructure for aerospace applications.

The DeveOps Software Engineer objectives are:

Design and implement CI/CD pipelines for the automated testing and deployment of aerospace software systems.
Support software teams in integrating DevOps practices within regulated development environments.
Manage and provision AWS infrastructure for simulation, testing, and production environments.
Ensure system reliability, security, and compliance with aerospace industry standards.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including software, systems, and flight engineering, to enable continuous integration in safety- and mission-critical workflows.
Required Competencies

Background in aerospace, defense, or other highly regulated industries.
Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code tools (CDK, CloudFormation, or Terraform).
Understanding of secure software development and deployment practices.
Strong collaboration and communication skills, with attention to detail and reliability.
Proven experience with AWS services, especially in infrastructure automation and deployment.
Strong programming skills with TypeScript; additional scripting languages (e.g., Python or Bash) are a plus.
Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using tools like GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Jenkins.
Familiarity with aerospace software development standards (e.g., DO-178C, ARP4754A) is a strong plus.
Knowledge of containerization (Docker) and orchestration (ECS, Kubernetes) in cloud environments.
Miscellaneous Requirements

Work can be done remotely.
For employees based in Montreal, the work model is hybrid (at least one day at the office).
The position might require travel to visit customers (in North America)
Knowledge of English is required to communicate and work with customers outside the province of Quebec. / La connaissance de l'anglais est requise pour communiquer et travailler avec nos clients situés à l'extérieur de la province de Québec.
