Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in automotive repair and maintenance, particularly with diesel engines and industrial equipment. This role requires proficiency in using hand and power tools, as well as the ability to perform heavy lifting. The Diesel Mechanic will be responsible for diagnosing issues, performing repairs, and ensuring all vehicles and equipment are operating at peak performance.

Duties

Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues in diesel engines and related systems.
Perform routine maintenance on diesel vehicles and industrial equipment to ensure optimal performance.
Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively to complete repairs and maintenance tasks.
Maintain accurate records of repairs, services performed, and parts used.
Provide excellent customer service by communicating clearly with clients regarding their vehicle needs and repair options.
Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of repairs while maintaining high-quality standards.
Operate forklifts safely when necessary for moving equipment or parts.
Stay updated on the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices related to diesel mechanics.
Requirements

Proven experience as a Diesel Mechanic or in a similar role within automotive repair or dealership environments.
Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment specific to diesel engines.
Ability to perform heavy lifting as required by the job duties.
Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients.
Experience working with Caterpillar machinery is a plus but not required.
Familiarity with industrial equipment maintenance is preferred.
Valid driver's license is required; CDL is a plus but not mandatory.
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills are essential for success in this role.
