HEAVY DIESEL MECHANICS - MARYBOROUGH

We currently have permanent positions available for Diesel Mechanics to join our team in Maryborough. This is a full-time position available and a perfect opportunity to join a large, secure, reputable company.

BDS Mechanical Repairs is a privately owned and growing business that offers mechanical, auto electrical and welding repairs both in house and onsite with 22 fixed workshop locations throughout Queensland. We have over 160 field service units and the team at BDS cover over 600,000 km2 of Queensland and Western Australia meaning we’re never too far away.

The successful candidates will possess the following:

Relevant Trade Qualification
Diagnostic experience
Good communication skills
Highway truck, truck mounted EWP, truck mounted cranes, and field servicing experience
Earthmoving equipment and mobile plant a bonus
Heavy rigid license
Mack and Volvo experience preferred
Strong fault finding skills
Ability to work as part of a team
Extra skills, experience, tickets and licenses will be advantageous
High-Risk license a bonus
Your duties will include:

Diesel engine diagnostics & repair, major and minor rebuilds
General Repairs/maintenance works – Trucks & Trailers/4×4’s, mining equipment
Replacing vehicle engines, steering mechanisms, transmissions and braking systems
Checking vehicle lighting systems
Test driving vehicles to gauge performance
Maintaining detailed records of serviced vehicles
Adhering to an inspection procedure checklist
