Role purpose
IDP Connect is seeking a talented and experienced Digital Marketing Manager specialising in Social Media and Content to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing innovative digital marketing strategies across various social media platforms and other content channels to drive engagement, increase brand awareness, and generate leads. You will have a proven track record of managing a team (three direct reports) and a strong background in the higher education sector or experience engaging a similar target audience.
Deliverables And Responsibilities
Social Media Management
• Develop and execute comprehensive social media strategies to increase brand visibility and engagement.
• Manage and maintain all social media platforms including but not limited to Instagram TikTok and YouTube.
• Create, curate and schedule engaging content tailored to each platform and target audience.
• Monitor social media channels for trends, feedback, and conversations and respond in a timely and professional manner.
Content Creation and Management
• Oversee the development of compelling and creative content for various digital channels inc. website, blog, email and social media.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to gather content ideas, stories, and updates.
• Ensure content is aligned with brand guidelines, SEO best practices, and audience preferences.
• Manage content calendar and publishing schedule to ensure consistent and timely delivery of content.
Community Engagement
• Build and nurture online communities through proactive engagement and interaction with followers, fans and influencers.
• Develop a plan and strategy to use The Ambassador Platform in the best possible way which allows prospective students to get real support from real students.
• Foster relationships with industry partners, bloggers and influencers to amplify brand reach and credibility.
• Identify opportunities for partnerships, collaborations, and co-marketing initiatives to expand brand presence.
Team Management and Leadership
• Supervise and mentor a team of digital marketing specialists, providing guidance, support and professional development opportunities.
• Set clear performance objectives, conduct regular performance evaluations, and provide constructive feedback and coaching.
• Cultivate a collaborative and inclusive team culture, fostering creativity, initiative and accountability.
Analytics and Reporting
• Utilise data analytics tools and metrics to track and evaluate the performance of digital marketing initiatives.
• Provide regular reports and insights to the Head of Content and Social, highlighting key metrics, trends, and opportunities for optimisation.
• Use data-driven insights to refine strategies, improve performance and achieve business objectives.
Required Skills
• Sufficient experience in digital marketing, with a focus on social media management and content creation.
• Proven track record of developing and implementing successful digital marketing strategies, preferably in the education sector.
• Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse team.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments and levels.
• Proficiency in digital marketing tools and platforms, including social media management tools, content management systems, and analytics platforms.
• Strategic thinker with a data-driven approach to decision making and problem solving.
