Sr Lead Development Mgr
The Senior Lead Development Manager India manages a department or small unit that includes multiple teams led by managers and/or team leaders that completes the analysis, programming and configuration of IT Systems Software. This job coaches team members on best methods of software development and operational goal setting. Working with the leadership team, this job provides team and project leadership for software development activities.
Key Responsibilities and Duties
Defines scope and objectives for software development team goals.
Reviews the configuration, customization, diagnosis and enhancements of the operating systems software.
Communicates and implements the strategic direction of the operation.
Approves the development and implementation of new products, processes and operational plans.
Provides the highest level of advice and recommendations to maximize the outcomes of development investments.
Collaborate with IT partners to devise capacity plan and ensure appropriate infrastructure for the end to end system delivery.
Manages performance of team through regular, timely feedback as well as the formal performance review process to ensure delivery of exceptional products and engagement, motivation and development of team.

The Lead Development Manager is responsible to drive the technology Transformation & be a champion to drive innovation in Software development Life cycle which involves thorough analysis, programmer mindset and deep understanding of IT Systems Software. Working with the leadership team, this job provides project leadership for software development activities.
About the Role
Motivates and inspire their organization as a leader and guide their teams to solve for complex technical problems in a timely fashion while maintaining a high bar for architectural integrity & code quality
Be a hands – on technologist. And provide oversight across various delivery teams to ensure alignment with architectural and technical excellence.
Collaborate with global teams to identify opportunities and create business centric software solutions. Ability to drive the culture of innovate within team to come up with POCs and architectural proofs that can demonstrate the benefits of solution so suggested to business stakeholders.
Manages performance of team through regular, timely feedback as well as the formal performance review process to ensure delivery of exceptional products and engagement, motivation and development of team.
Monitors development work to make sure resulting software meets established goals.
Manages the identification of business needs, conducts requirements gathering, and defines scope and objectives for the IT System.
Manages the configuration, customization, diagnosis and enhancements of operating systems software.
Performs through impact analysis of the change and demonstrates very high level of creativity in identifying the best possible implementation for a given business requirement.
Must be able to do code reviews, suggest best design principles and practices.
Collaborate with the Quality Engineers team to identify test automation opportunities and contribute actively to improve test coverage of the project and reduce the tech debt.
Ability to develop highly resilient software solutions and propose next generation software architecture standards when solving business problems
Advises the development and implementation of new products, processes and operational plans.
Foster Cultivate Diversity in backgrounds and points of view in their organizations.
Qualifications
The job requires :
Experience is development of complex software with Microservices, complex data models in a highly matrixed environments.
Solid understanding of full stack application design and development.
Exposure to Java version 8 or higher, Spring, Spring Boot and any object relational framework
Exposure to any Cloud platform AWS, Azure or GCP. Exposure to Open shift would be an added advantage
Exposure to any one RDBMS platform(Oracle, my SQL etc.) and any one NoSQL platform( Mongo DB, Cassandra etc.)
Good judgement when assessing security of the software.
Polyglot leader: experience and interest incuriosity about modern programming languages.
Ability to work on both Unix and Windows based platforms.
Strong knowledge of Design Patterns
Exposure to CI/CD Best practices and configurations
Ability to solve problems independently and must also have ability to do hands-on coding as needed.
Experience in BFSI domain is added advantage.
Educational Requirements
Bachelor's or Master’s Degree in Engineering (preferably Computer Engineering)
