Leads implements and manages operational initiatives in support of all Baptist Health practices. Facilitates meetings with diverse groups of stakeholders, providing strategic analysis and assessments for clients, leaders, or Revenue Cycle counterparts. The Patient Access Operations Director is a cross-functional leader who oversees relevant Patient Access leaders/departments, including metrics, KPIs, budget development, process improvement, personnel issues, etc. Interprets policies and procedures, recommends changes as appropriate, and provides relevant feedback to senior executives. Must have a command of organizational agility, be collaborative and assertive, and have experience working to complete projects across various departments, entities, and specialties. Provides creative and strategic foresight to plan effectively for healthcare industry trends and react to unforeseen changes. Collaborates with product line leaders and executives to enhance operational effectiveness and efficiencies for optimal financial and patient experience outcomes. Practices the BHSF philosophy of service excellence in providing professional, compassionate, and friendly service to patients of all ages, families, employees, physicians, and community members.
Master‘s Degree in Healthcare preferred with a minimum of 6 years of experience in healthcare, preferably in Rev Cycle management, including a minimum of 5 years of Leadership experience in a multi-hospital/physician system is required. In lieu of a Master‘s Degree, a minimum of 8 years of experience in healthcare, preferably in Rev Cycle management, including a minimum of 7 years of leadership experience in a multi-hospital/physician system, is required. National Association of Healthcare Access Management, American Association of Healthcare Administrative Management, or Healthcare Financial Management Association certification is preferred. Creative foresight is essential to plan effectively for healthcare industry trends & react to unforeseen changes. Strong leadership, analytical, critical thinking, problem-solving, communication, & interpersonal skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment under tight deadlines. Able to work & collaborate with multiple stakeholders. Assists with the development of broad system standards for Patient Access functions to maximize efficiency/cost-effectiveness. Experience with supporting/implementing large-scale enterprise-wide system initiatives. Fosters & exemplifies high ethical standards & strategic practices to enhance the organization's success. Articulates knowledge & understanding of organizational policies/procedures/systems. Bilingual English, Spanish/Creole.
