Fed Finance is a dedicated recruitment firm which specialises in Accounting & Corporate Finance roles.

My name is Baptiste YLONEN and my client, a top 10 audit & accounting firm, is looking for a Director in Accounts and Audit, for a permanent role.

They're looking for this Director to lead their accounting and auditing services, for their clients based in the UK.
• You will be responsible for overseeing the preparation and delivery of high-quality accounts and audit reports who have a headquarter in France. Therefore, knowledge and experience in French accounting and auditing standards and regulations, in addition to UK accounting and audit standards will be beneficial.
• You will be responsible for managing the relationship with clients and stakeholders.
• You will also be involved in business development of the French Desk, staff training and mentoring, and quality assurance activities.

Other Key Responsibilities :
• Plan, coordinate and supervise the accounts and audit assignments for clients, ensuring that they are completed on time, within budget and to the highest standards of quality and professionalism.
• Review and approve the accounts and audit reports, ensuring that they comply with UK accounting and auditing standards and regulations, and that they meet the expectations and needs of clients and stakeholders.
• Provide technical advice and guidance to clients and staff on accounting and auditing matters, and keep abreast of the latest developments and changes in the UK accounting and auditing environment.
• Manage the relationship with clients and stakeholders, ensuring that they are satisfied with the firm' services, and that you identify and respond to their feedback and concerns.
• Develop and maintain a network of contacts and referrals in the French market, and identify and pursue new business opportunities for the accounting and auditing services.
• Lead, coach and mentor staff, and provide them with feedback and support for their professional development and career progression.
• Contribute to the development and implementation of their accounting and auditing policies, procedures and standards, and ensure that they are adhered to by staff and clients.
• Participate in quality assurance and risk management activities, and ensure that any issues or complaints are resolved promptly and effectively.
• A professional qualification in accounting and auditing, such as ACCA, ACA, CPA, or equivalent.
• At least 10 years of experience in accounting and auditing, preferably in a senior or managerial role, and with exposure to the French market.
• Fluent in French, both spoken and written, and able to communicate effectively with clients and stakeholders in France.
• Strong technical knowledge and skills in accounting and auditing, and familiar with the French accounting and auditing standards and regulations.
• Excellent leadership and management skills, and able to motivate and inspire staff and clients.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and able to build and maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, and able to handle complex and challenging situations.
• Excellent business acumen and strategic thinking skills, and able to identify and seize new business opportunities.
• Highly professional and ethical, and committed to delivering quality and excellence.
• Flexible and adaptable, and able to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
