Job Description
Responsibilities
1. Manage the day-to-day processing of monthly and off-cycle payroll preparation and production.
2. Ensures accuracy and timely processing of all payroll actions. Audit, balance and reconcile payroll to ensure employees are paid accurately prior to confirmation of each payroll.
3. Engage in process redesign to optimize improvement in accuracy, efficiency and customer service for the function. Continually look to standardize and simplify processes. Assist in the development and documentation of payroll policies and procedures.
4. Supervise and guide the payroll team. Focus on staff development and training on systems, processes and knowledge of the payroll laws.
5. Manage off-cycle payroll actions, systems maintenance, tax updates, user acceptance testing, and other assignments as requested.
6. Keep abreast of changes regulatory changes impacting the payroll for each country.
7. Work with payroll vendors to ensure compliance with regulations impacting the country's payrolls.
8. Perform quality control audit reviews for payroll processes APAC countries.
+. Collaborate with Human Resources to ensure benefit deductions are accurate. Responsible for all withholdings regardless of nature that impact pay results; benefits, taxes consistent with jurisdictions, federal, state, provincial that pertains to each country and work location.
10. Work with payroll accountant to ensure all tax deposits and returns and compliance reporting are submitted on a timely basis
11. Ensure employee and employer contributions to the Superannuation, Medicare levy, Fringe Benefit, Provident fund, etc., and other statutory submissions are funded accurately and timely.
12. Research and resolve any discrepancies stemming of any form.
13. Maintain high quality standard of customer service for all stakeholder teams. .
14. Effectively handle stakeholder inquiries to ensure quick, equitable, courteous resolution.
15. Maintain own professional growth and development through seminars, workshops, and professional affiliations to keep abreast of the latest developments in the laws and other related areas.
16. Ensure the processing of new hires, temporary workers, transfers, promotions and terminations are completed accurately, timely, based on country regulatory is in regulatory compliance and follows internal procedures that is modelled after best practices.
17. Manage reporting from ADP Streamline and other 3rd party local payroll providers as it relates to management reports include but not limited to gross payroll, tax deductions, benefit deductions and employee status change requests.
18. Manage staff of 3 to 4 Payroll Specialists
1+. Lead, recommend and participate in projects to continually review and improve current processes.
20. Participate in payroll audits internal and external-2s and yearly administration of payroll in preparation of the following calendar year.
21. Build and nurture great working relationships within all levels of the organization. Work closely with key cross-functional team members and 3rd party providers, HR, Finance, Accounting, and others to resolve issues and drive end-to-end process improvements.
22. Maintain communication with payroll service providers regarding software updates and new products available to be able to initiate the use of new features and functionality.
23. Flexible and willing to work across multiple time zones.
24. Proactively takes initiative and makes decisions confidently.
25. Can think strategically and act operationally.
26. Manage ambiguity, risk and change direction of projects and strategies when needed.

The Successful Applicant
Qualifications:
1. Must Have - APAC Payroll experience required (Australia, Singapore, etc.,)
2. Minimum 8-10 years of payroll experience, including 6 years of supervisory experience.
3. Bachelor's degree in accounting and finance preferred.
4. Intermediate/Advance Excel and other Microsoft Office products.
5. Experienced with ADP Streamline or other Payroll providers.
6. Experience with Workday a plus.
7. Ability to plan and manage multiple projects as well as strong organizational skills.
8. Able to research information and analyze data to arrive at valid conclusions, recommendations, and plans of action.
+. Able to prepare reports and represent ideas clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing.
10. Excellent Oral and Written.
11. Fluent in English and other APAC languages are a strong plus.
