At SiteMinder we believe the individual contributions of our employees are what drive our success. That’s why we hire and encourage diverse teams that include and respect a variety of voices, identities, backgrounds, experiences and perspectives. Our diverse and inclusive culture enables our employees to bring their unique selves to work and be proud of doing so. It’s in our differences that we will keep revolutionising the way for our customers. We are better together!
What We Do…
We’re people who love technology but know that hoteliers just want things to be simple. So since 2006 we’ve been constantly innovating our world-leading hotel commerce platform to help accommodation owners find and book more guests online - quickly and simply.
We’ve helped everyone from boutique hotels to big chains, enabling travellers to book igloos, cabins, castles, holiday parks, campsites, pubs, resorts, Airbnbs, and everything in between.
And today, we’re the world’s leading open hotel commerce platform, supporting 47,000 hotels in 150 countries - with over 125 million reservations processed by SiteMinder’s technology every year.
About the Director, Smart Distribution Program...
Smart Distribution is the latest commercial program launched at SiteMinder, and is rapidly becoming a core focus across the business as we work together with our Distribution Partners (Online Travel Agents) to find ways to support our shared hotels to succeed on our platform. The Director, Smart Distribution Program will join the Strategic Operations Team and the Senior Leadership Team of the company to continue building the program, while executing a pipeline of cross-functional and inter-business initiatives to deliver commercial outcomes.
The Director will need to work closely with multiple external (Distribution Partners) and internal (SiteMinder) teams to drive key outcomes. This will require an individual who is analytical, persuasive and driven, and capable of operating at a strategic and tactical level. In working with peers across a large portfolio of products, this person is a leader with exceptional influencing skills who can engage and coordinate cross-functional resources and drive commercial outcomes aligned to strategy (without direct line authority). You will be part of a tightly knit team, and work with colleagues globally to help define new initiatives and deliver frictionless customer experiences as we grow and scale.
What you'll do...
Own business prioritisation and P&L for the new and growing Smart Distribution Program at SiteMinder
Work with internal stakeholders and leaders across functions (Sales, Marketing, Customer, Product, Ecosystem) to design and implement initiatives aligned to shared program and partner goals, including Acquisition, Optimisation, and Continuous Improvement
Collaborate with Product and Engineering Directors on future product initiatives and roadmaps to enhance our customers’ opportunities to grow their revenue through their SiteMinder connectivity
In partnership with the Ecosystem and Strategic Partnerships team, support and lead negotiations with external Partners, and manage both commercial and delivery aspects of the relationship during and post negotiation
Continue to develop the program operational cadences, reporting, and regularly update the Executive Leadership team on commercial and operational progress.
What you'll have...
Extensive experience in management consulting, start-ups, business management, product management, or revenue generation. Experience in hospitality and/or hotel distribution will be highly regarded.
Proven ability to collaborate with a diverse, cross-functional stakeholder group and influence commercial outcomes at all levels, utilising an open and effective communication style.
Pragmatic, can-do approach to solving problems - comfortable working with unfamiliar concepts, identifying levers that can move the outcome, and working cross-functionally to develop and implement solutions
Strong analytical and communication skills - comfortable both interrogating datasets for insights, as well as communicating these effectively to senior leadership
Excel in a fast-paced, high-growth environment; exceptionally comfortable with ambiguity and decision-making in the absence of perfect information, and comfortable communicating with executives on a high profile program
Ability to negotiate and work effectively with external partners to develop and drive joint initiatives to support the shared goals of our hotels, partners, and SiteMinder
