Job Description:
The Doctor Coordinator plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient coordination of
medical services within the organization. This position involves planning and managing the daily
schedule of doctors, processing reports, supporting various teams, and facilitating effective
communication and workflow between the Patient Care Services (PCS) team and the doctor team.
The Doctor Coordinator will oversee all aspects of the doctors' schedules, including OPD, IPD, and
post-operative follow-ups, as well as analyze and optimize daily activities.
Key Responsibilities:
● Doctor Schedule Planning: Create and share daily schedules for doctors, taking into account
OPD, IPD, surgeries, and post-operative follow-up appointments.
● Report Processing: Process reports on a daily basis to ensure timely and accurate
information is available for medical staff and management.
● Workflow Efficiency: Follow established office workflow procedures to maximize operational
efficiency, ensuring that all tasks and processes are executed smoothly.
● Team Support: Collaborate with various teams within the organization to support their tasks,
fostering a cooperative and productive work environment.
● Communication Liaison: Maintain open and effective communication with the PCS and
doctor teams, ensuring that scheduling and planning are executed seamlessly.
● Daily Analysis: Analyze the doctor's day, including travel, surgical procedures, and follow-up
appointments, to identify areas for improvement and optimization.
● Process Improvement: Conduct regular analyses of processes and procedures, making
necessary adjustments to enhance overall efficiency and effectiveness.
● Ad Hoc Duties: Perform any other relevant duties as required to support the smooth
operation of the medical department.
● Communication Coordination: Facilitate the day-to-day flow of communications between
the doctor team, PCS team, and other relevant departments to ensure effective information
exchange.
● Post-Operative Coordination: Coordinate post-operative visits at the time of patient
discharges, ensuring that patients receive necessary follow-up care.
● Interdepartmental Coordination: Collaborate with different departments to ensure the
proper execution of processes and schedules, guaranteeing the highest quality of patient
care.
