Job description
As we continue to expand our operations, we are looking to recruit a Transport/Driver Supervisor to join our team at La Boulangerie Robuchon in Acton. This position plays a crucial role in ensuring timely and efficient distribution of our products while maintaining the highest standards of safety and customer service.
The Transport/Driver Supervisor will oversee all aspects of transportation and logistics for our bakery operations. This role requires strong leadership skills to manage a team of drivers effectively, ensuring they adhere to schedules, safety protocols, and delivery standards. The Supervisor will coordinate closely with the production team to guarantee seamless distribution of bakery products to our retail outlets, ensuring customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
• Supervise and manage a team of drivers, including hiring, training, scheduling, and performance management.
• Plan and coordinate daily transportation routes to optimize efficiency and ensure on-time deliveries.
• Monitor driver performance and conduct regular evaluations to maintain high productivity levels.
• Enforce safety protocols and ensure compliance with transportation regulations and company policies.
• Maintain fleet vehicles by scheduling regular maintenance and inspections.
• Coordinate with the production team to prioritize deliveries and manage inventory levels at retail outlets.
• Resolve any issues or concerns related to transportation and delivery promptly.
• Track and analyze transportation metrics to improve processes and reduce costs.
• Collaborate with other departments to streamline operations and enhance overall efficiency.
• Ensure excellent customer service and handle any customer inquiries or complaints related to transportation.
Requirements
• Valid driver’s license.
• Proficiency in IT
• Experience in leadership and team management.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Flexibility to work additional hours and be on-call as needed.
