US Accounting Team Lead - Remote Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented US Accounting Team Lead to oversee and manage a team of accounting professionals serving clients from the USA, UK, Australia, and India. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in US accounting practices, team leadership, and client communication. This role blends operational excellence with strategic oversight to ensure quality, timely, and compliant delivery of outsourced accounting services. About the Company: Our Client is a fast-growing accounting outsourcing provider supporting small to mid-sized businesses and CPA firms across the USA, UK, AUS, and India. With a strong focus on technology, accuracy, and compliance, we empower clients to streamline their accounting operations and focus on growth. Location: Remote Key Responsibilities: Lead and supervise a team of accountants handling multi-country client portfolios Review and manage end-to-end accounting processes including general ledger, AP/AR, bank reconciliations, and month-end closing Ensure timely preparation of financial statements – P&L;, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow Oversee payroll coordination (W-2/1099) and ensure tax compliance for US clients Conduct internal reviews to ensure data accuracy and regulatory compliance Collaborate with cross-functional teams for workflow optimization and technology integration Train, mentor, and monitor the performance of junior accountants Serve as a primary point of contact for client communications, queries, and escalations Assist in process documentation and audit preparation Required Qualifications & Skills: Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field Minimum 4+ years of experience in US accounting, including 1+ year in a leadership role Proficient in QuickBooks Online, Xero, NetSuite, Excel Strong understanding of US GAAP and compliance (W-2/1099, IRS guidelines) Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English Client-centric approach with proven stakeholder management experience Tech-savvy with strong analytical and problem-solving skills Ability to work across time zones and manage multiple clients Working Days: Monday to Friday (Night Shift / US Time Zone) Salary: ₹8 – ₹12 LPA (Based on experience and skill set) Contact Details: For more details on this vacancy, contact us at _______________________________ HireGenie is a premier Finance Recruitment Consultancy, helping companies and startups find top-tier finance professionals.
