YMCA of Northern Alberta is looking for someone who enjoys teaching and developing others to fill the position of Early Childhood Educator to provide high quality care and service to families in YMCA Child Care programs by implementing and teaching programs.

Essential Functions
Consistently represent YMCA’s values and mission, comply with all YMCA Policies, procedures and Provincial Licensing regulations
Work and communicate with a team to implement Child Care curriculum which may include Playing to Learn, FLIGHT and A Place to Connect.
Guide and redirect children in situations when conflicts arise using a variety of positive child guidance techniques
Ensure children are accounted for at all times
Treat all families respectfully, bearing in mind their values, culture and background
Build relationships with families and communicate, verbally and in writing on a daily basis
Commitment to Health and Safety and Child Protection Policies and Procedures
Attend all required professional development and training opportunities
Consistently provide a safe and clean environment following all cleaning procedures
Completed required administrative tasks
Performs other duties as assigned
What You'll Need for This Job
Experience working with children
Level 1, 2 or 3 Child Care Certification (or in progress)
Standard or Child Care First Aid & CPR – C
Able to obtain a Police Information Check with Vulnerable sector check
