The Opportunity

The ECE Program Supervisor is responsible for the oversight and continuous improvement of LINC childcare programs, ensuring a nurturing, inclusive, and diverse environment that meets the needs of all children and families. This role requires a proactive and accountable leader with strong technological proficiency and a deep understanding of multicultural and settlement challenges. The supervisor will implement policies and best practices aligned with B.C. Childcare Licensing regulations and the B.C. Early Learning Framework while fostering a non-judgmental, equitable, and bias-free workplace.


Key Responsibilities

Leadership & Accountability:

Oversee the day-to-day operations of the childcare programs, ensuring compliance with licensing regulations and agency policies.
Establish clear accountability measures for program staff, ensuring adherence to ethical childcare standards.
Maintain transparency and responsiveness in decision-making and problem-solving.
Serve as the Licensing Manager, reporting to the Childcare Licensing Officer.

Technology & Innovation:

Utilize digital tools for program planning, documentation, and staff training.
Implement technology-driven tracking systems for attendance, performance evaluations, and professional development.
Leverage online platforms for curriculum development and communication with staff and families.

Diversity, Inclusion & Equity:

Ensure programs are culturally responsive, inclusive, and meet the unique needs of immigrant and refugee families.
Foster a workplace culture of respect, open communication, and bias-free decision-making.
Provide training on equity, diversity, and inclusion to staff and incorporate these values into daily operations.

Supervision & Staff Development:

Recruit, onboard, and provide continuous professional development for staff.
Conduct regular performance evaluations, providing feedback and growth opportunities.
Mediate staff conflicts fairly and impartially, ensuring a supportive work environment.
Encourage a collaborative, team-based approach to childcare and education.

Program Development & Quality Assurance:

Develop and oversee age-appropriate curricula and learning activities aligned with best practices.
Regularly evaluate childcare programs, implementing improvements based on feedback and emerging trends.
Monitor compliance with B.C. Childcare Licensing regulations, ensuring a safe and enriching environment for children.

Family & Community Engagement:

Facilitate connections between families and community resources to support holistic child development.
Organize workshops and outreach initiatives for parents to enhance family participation.
Promote public awareness of the program by attending events and building partnerships with local organizations.

Administrative & Financial Oversight:

Manage program budgets responsibly, ensuring cost-effective operations while maintaining quality.
Track and document expenditures, staff schedules, program reports, and compliance records.
Streamline administrative processes using technology for efficient record-keeping and reporting.
