YOUR ROLE

The Education Officer, Mathematics will oversee the implementation and monitoring of the Mathematics strategy, support the development and implementation of sector and school-level Mathematics initiatives and provide strategic advice on Mathematics issues. This role is designed to support the documentation, communication, and implementation of Mathematics policies across the system. The Education Officer will work in conjunction with the Team Leader, Mathematics and Manager, Mathematics to support the development and implementation of specific program initiatives.

Job Description
WHAT YOU WILL DO

Coordinate the development, implementation and evaluation of Mathematics initiatives with a focus on module development, project management and working with Learning Partners to develop professional learning and networking opportunities, in conjunction with the Team Leader, Mathematics.
Support the development, documentation, communication and implementation of MACS policy initiatives related to Mathematics.
Liaise with teams within the Education Excellence Directorate to coordinate and provide responses in relation to the implementation and delivery of Mathematics initiatives.
Ensure appropriate metrics are collected and analysed to help inform the implementation of Mathematics initiatives aligned with the Flourishing Learners strategic priorities.
Perform other duties as assigned within your scope of practice/work.
ABOUT YOU

Demonstrated ability to collaborate with the Mathematics team to co-design and support effective, evidence informed strategies for professional learning.
Demonstrated ability to collaborate with teams across the directorate in the building of shared vision, project deliverables and timeframes.
Demonstrated ability to collect, analyse and use data to determine initiative impact and develop targeted high quality professional support at system and school level.
Proven ability to analyse, interpret, and apply evidence-based research, transforming insights into practical strategies and supports tailored for schools.
Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, including:
experience in working collaboratively
ability to operate effectively within a multidisciplinary team
ability to develop professional relationships based on trust and integrity
Extensive knowledge and proficiency in relevant software, particularly Microsoft Office and educational technologies, with a strong ability to adapt to, and learn, new applications as needed.
Salary range for this position is $117,064 (T2/1) - $137,125 (T2/6) per annum exclusive of superannuation as specified in the Catholic Education Multi-Enterprise Agreement 2022 and may include additional allowances dependent on qualifications and experience.
