Job Summary
This role involves providing multifaceted power system modelling and analysis, engineering, and risk and assurance management to support the successful operation of the New Zealand electricity market and power system. Key responsibilities include developing and validating dynamic simulation models of transmission and generation assets, supporting the development and deployment of power system tools and ancillary services, and collaborating with industry participants to ensure seamless integration of renewable generation. The ideal candidate will have experience in time domain simulations, dynamic modelling, and power system analysis using tools such as PowerFactory, PSSE, and PSCAD. Strong communication and influencing skills, as well as an ability to work autonomously and as part of a team, are essential for this role.
Develop/validate dynamic simulation models of transmission & generation assets.
Support development/deployment of power system tools & ancillary services.
Collaborate with industry participants to ensure smooth integration of renewable generation.
