Position Summary:

The Electromechanical Service Evaluation and Repair Technician will primarily focus on conducting warranty evaluations on returned products to determine warranty status. This includes verifying whether products are within warranty, processing credits or replacements for customers, and ensuring accurate documentation. The technician will also perform essential troubleshooting and repair work on products when necessary, ensuring they conform to original specifications within quality standard compliance.

Key Responsibilities Include

Evaluate Returned Products
• Verification of product and serial number
• Perform initial inspection, evaluation, and testing
• Conduct warranty evaluations to determine warranty status
• Process credits or replacements for products within warranty

Diagnose Problems and Repair
• Perform accurate repairs on products when needed
• Determination of cost-effectiveness to repair

Documentation
• Documentation of quality data in the computer system
• Summarize defect information and root cause analysis for customers
• Reporting on trending issues or concerns

Customer Interactions
• Communicate with customers to provide updates on warranty evaluations and repair status
• Address customer inquiries and provide technical support as needed

Continuous Improvement
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance service processes and product quality
• Provide feedback on recurring issues and suggest improvements to prevent future occurrences

General Duties
• Prioritization of workload
• Parts orders
• Implementation of 5S, ESD, and safety guidelines
• Any other assignments as required

Requirements

Qualifications Include:
• 1+ years of experience in manufacturing or mechanical repair, particularly with gearboxes, motors, and geared motors
• 1-3 years of experience with basic component-level troubleshooting and mechanical systems
• Strong understanding of mechanical components and their functions
• Basic computer skills for documentation and data entry
• Attention to detail and precision in repair work
• Good communication and organizational skills
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics
• Preferred: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering
• Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and equipment for mechanical systems
• Experience with quality control processes and standards
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently
• Excellent customer service skills and the ability to communicate technical information clearly
