Job Description As an emergency medical technician (EMT), you'll provide front-line emergency care for sick and injured patients
Working between accident sites, patients' homes, in transport or at healthcare facilities, you'll help provide life-saving interventions and monitoring so patients can get the care they need
Your duties may include administering CPR, oxygen, glucose and medications, starting IV lines, stopping bleeding, bandaging wounds, treating burns, ventilating patients, lifting and transporting patients, restocking the ambulance and more
You'll play a critical role in preventing illness, providing moral support, promoting health and wellness, and educating patients and families
