Position Overview
Employee Benefits Associate Attorney
We are seeking an experienced Employee Benefits Associate Attorney to join our team in Buffalo, NY. Our ideal candidate will have 2+ years of experience in employee benefits law, including expertise in benefits regulation and compliance. This role involves providing legal advice on retirement plans, welfare benefits, and fringe benefits to ensure our clients meet all regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
• Provide legal counsel on employee benefits issues, including retirement plans and welfare benefits.
• Draft and review plan documents and amendments to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
• Assist clients with compliance audits and regulatory filings related to employee benefits.
• Stay updated on changes in employee benefits regulations and communicate implications to clients.
• Conduct research on employee benefits laws and regulations
Qualifications
• Juris Doctor
• Barred in the state of NY
• Strong understanding of employee benefits regulations, including ERISA and the Internal Revenue Code.
• Experience with compliance issues related to retirement plans and welfare benefits.
