About Us:
Kilgannon & Partners LLP is a leading boutique law firm specialising in HR, employment law and immigration. We are committed to delivering high-quality legal services to a diverse range of clients; both businesses and individuals.
We are known for our client-focused service, and supportive work environment. The firm has grown significantly in its relatively short existence through a combination of mergers and with excellent fee-share lawyers joining.
While the firm operates both a fee-share model and traditional employed roles (where the firm pays a basic salary and provides the work), we have grown organically and are now looking for a talented Employment Solicitor to join our dynamic team on a traditional employed (not fee-share) basis.
The Role:
We are seeking an experienced Employment Solicitor to handle a varied caseload of employment law and HR matters, both contentious and non-contentious, but with a strong bias towards advising individuals.
This is an excellent opportunity to work on contentious and non-contentious cases, advising on all aspects of employment law, including:
• Employment Rights Act 1++6 and Equality Act 2010 rights and claims.
• Settlement agreements.
• Employment contracts, policies, and procedures.
• Employment tribunal claims.
You will have your own case-load and be expected to manage that, with support from others, as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
• Manage a diverse caseload with minimal supervision.
• Provide expert legal advice and guidance to clients on a range of employment law matters.
• Draft, review and advise on legal documents, including settlement agreements, contracts, policies, and tribunal pleadings.
• Negotiating on behalf of clients.
· Undertake litigation, including, advocacy, if wanted; if not we have our own advocates and good links with external counsel.
• Develop strong client relationships and contribute to business development initiatives.
· Keeping up to date with new developments in employment legislation.
About You:
• Qualified Solicitor with 5+ years of PQE in employment law. All levels of experience will be considered up to and including Partner level.
• Strong knowledge of employment law, settlement agreements and tribunal procedures
• Excellent communication and especially client management skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Proven track record of managing a busy caseload effectively.
What We Offer:
• Competitive salary and benefits package, including bonuses.
• Opportunities for career development and progression.
• Supportive and collaborative working environment.
• Remote working.
• Regular firm socials.
• Ongoing training and professional development.
• Easy to use Practice Management Systems, which sync seamlessly with the latest Microsoft products; Outlook and Word.
• Full support from our amazing customer services team who deal with enquiries and onboard clients for you.
How to Apply:
If you are a proactive and driven Employment Solicitor looking to join a reputable firm, we would love to hear from you.
Join us and be part of a team that values excellence, trust, honesty and integrity.
Please send your CV in the strictest of confidence to mk@kilgannonlaw.co.uk.
